1. Regulatory Signs (Rules You Must Follow)

Animal Crossing – moose, deer, or livestock may cross.
Slippery When Wet – drive carefully in wet conditions.

3. Guide / Information Signs
These provide useful information about routes, distances, or services.
Highway / Route Markers – show highway numbers and directions.
Service Signs – indicate gas stations, rest stops, hospitals.
Destination / Distance Signs – how far to towns or cities.

4. Construction / Temporary Signs
Orange Diamond / Rectangle Signs – indicate construction zones or temporary changes.

5. Pavement Markings
Though not technically signs, Alberta roads use these to communicate rules visually:
Solid White Line – do not cross, separates lanes in the same direction.
Broken White Line – may change lanes.
